  • Description Institute for Information & Communications Technology Promotion (IITP) is a South Korean government institution that manages Information and Communications Technology (ICT) research and development under the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning (MSIP). Its main activities are setting policy, ICT R&D management and ICT HR Development. In the first session (from 13:15 to 14:45), four Canadian researchers will give presentations on the recent research and development in the areas of Autonomous Vehicles in US, Quantum Computing in US and Canada, Artificial Intelligence in US, and Artificial Intelligence in Canada. Also, joint research on ICT between Korean and Canadian researchers, attracting Canadian researchers to Korea, and ICT technology development/commercialization, and governmental ICT policies will be discussed. In the second session (from 15:00 to 16:30), the details of 2019 AI R&D Grand Challenge will be presented by IITP, followed by discussions and Q&A. Technology Trend Program (Invitation Only):
